Deciding On The Right Bed

If the average person sleeps between Seven and Eight hours per night, this means that over the course of a lifetime, we could conceivably spend more than 26 years in asleep! So surely it makes sense to guarantee that all that time is spent in luxury? And I can't think of a more perfect way do that than investing in a brand new solid oak bed!

Transforming your bedroom into the relaxing sanctuary you deserve can do wonders to the quality of your sleep and general well-being. For suggestions and advice on choosing the right bed, read on.

Choosing the correct size

The key to a good night’s sleep is ensuring that you have enough space to sleep comfortably. The key question is whether you should opt for large single beds or go for small double beds? Will a double be too small but a king too large?

For the most part, you are going to be restricted by the space available, but I would always suggest going for the most spacious option wherever possible. Considering how much time we spend asleep – as well as how much of an impact a good night’s sleep can have on the following day – it is well worth making the extra investment.

Which wood?

When you're looking for wooden beds, if you’re after quality as well as comfort then you have three main options; Oak or Mahogany. For a more traditional look, a rich mahogany Sleigh bed is the stand-out option and will guarantee your bedroom has the elegant centrepiece it deserves.

If an oak double bed is what you’re seeking to turn your bedroom into a relaxing sanctuary, then I would urge you to check out our gorgeous rustic oak beds. The rustic style is one of the hottest trends in home design and it's not going to change anytime soon! It is no coincidence that this is currently our best-selling style.

Each bed has matching bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and wardrobes available so you could always go that extra step further and treat yourself to a complete bedroom makeover!
